Stadelhofen - Santiago Calatrava

stadelhofen station Zurich - Santiago Calatrava

I've been meaning to include a photograph of this station, designed by Calatrava for some time. It's a real favourite of mine and provides boundless photo opportunities, as well as being an architectural nicety. It shows off well Calatrava's use of organic forms and "engineering" approach. I think I'll be doing a wee series, so I'll give him a special category. Does it remind anyone a little of H R Giger?

Beautiful.
Another of your ambush photos, hiding in dark places to capture lone women ? (on film, thankfully)

I don't get the same feeling of dread as I do when I see Giger's work. This makes me think of the DC metro system, though really, all that's common is the concrete.
