Pont Alexander III / Invalides

Early morning - one my favourite views in Paris. Grandeur, space and beauty.

I could make a couple of lighthearted comments about B&W and contract figures. But I'm overwhelmed by the other qualities.....Bravo! That touch of gold...............and so on.

It's interesting that you feel space, here.

I like your perspective here, and gorgeous light even on a hazy day.

Since Eric of Paris Daily Photo sent me here to have a look at your Eiffel Tower shot and I loved your photos so much, I went to the City Daily Photo Blogs forum to mark your blog as a favorite. . .except you are apparently not listed among our family of blogs. What's up with that? I hope you'll link to us. I would love to see your shots coming up on our visual portal everyday!

Kim - I used to be on CDP, but I've dropped off for some reason - however as you can see the blog doesn't really conform to CDP guidelines so that's ok!

Chucker - yes, I'm doing grey and gold now. It's a sort of posh black and white.

FF - you need to be there, I guess. "It's space, but not as we know it, Jim", especially if you're accustomed to the outback!

and a very Posh B&W it is :)
while this would make a great B&W the color here turns this into a sublime image

Tu as cadré en diagonale.

Thanks for the tip Cergie, but I don't think I'll be able to make it this time around. However it is on until July so I'll catch it on my next trip
