Venezia

I met up with some fellow bloggers in Venice recently. Here is Peter from Paris.

Although this is a couple of days after the "acqua alta" of 1st December, he clearly isn't taking any chances....

Looking like a Venetian grandee on his stone pedestal. He'll be invading Constantinople next. (Actually that would suit his blog style.....lots of grand views to "capture").

Saw some of the flooding on the news here in the US, and wondered how you were doing with that 4 x 5. Look forward to seeing more work.

Thank you for sharing!

He's checking to make sure he's got it on "automatic'! HA I laugh, but he always got the best shots. I was always fooling with all my settings and muttering. Glad you all sought higher ground.

@gerry - ever tried setting up a 4x5 in a canoe?

Ha! I will have to try that. I did use an 8 x10 once, without a tripod. That was fun!

Hilarious commentary, great effect with the set of stairs.

You know, the magic I did on my four-part cobblestone cum café tables photo was copy, flip and paste, not the b&w. This photo is a natural black and white. You know how hard it is for me to abandon colour.

PS - I'll start posting a few photos of Venice tomorrow, and more the day after that. I'll be back regularly to check out yours.
